Handsome Limoges game plate. This factory decorated plate features a dove in flight on a colorful ground of soft yellow, peach, brown, and burgundy. The ornate and beaded rim is decorated with sponged gold gilding that is in excellent condition. The plate is signed by French factory artist, Pilvis. It is marked with the Limoges, France, underglaze white ware mark in green, used after 1891, as well as the George Borgfeldt (Coronet) overglaze decorating mark in green, circa 1906-1920. The plate measures 8 ¾" in diameter and is in excellent condition, with very minor wear to the painted surface on the raised spines of the plate. It is free of chips, cracks, or repairs. |

Handsome Limoges game plate with ducks. Vibrant fall colors adorn this hand painted game plate. It features two mallard ducks in a marshland setting. Sunlight illuminates the golden and amber grasses that surround the pair. Background colors are a masterful blending of burnt orange, copper, taupe, peach, with a touch of sky blue. The ornate and scalloped rim of the plate is decorated with heavy gold gilding that is in excellent condition. The tab handles feature a floral design in raised gold on a white background. French factory artist, De Nerval, has signed the plate. The plate measures 9 ½" in diameter and is double marked. It displays the Coiffe factory underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1891-1914. The overglaze decorating mark of Lazeyras, Rosenfeld & Lehman also appears on the back of the plate. This outstanding piece is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or restoration. |

Handsome Limoges charger or plaque with ducks. This colorful plaque is expertly hand painted with a pair of wild ducks in a natural marshland setting at sunset. Background colors are vibrant shades of golden yellow, peach, and burnt orange. The ornate and scalloped rim of the plaque is decorated with rich gold gilding that shows minor wear on the highpoints. This wear does not detract from the beauty of this colorful piece. The plaque is signed by listed French factory artist, Duval. It measures 13 ½" in diameter and is marked with the George Borgfeldt (Coronet) overglaze decorating mark in green, circa 1906-1920. Handsome Limoges game plate with pheasant. This plate is hand painted with a colorful pheasant on a ground of creamy yellow, salmon, and milk chocolate brown. The scalloped and beaded rim of the plate is decorated with gold gilding that shows some wear on the outer rim edge. The signature of the French factory artist appears on the plate but is difficult to read (please see the photo). The plate measures 8 ¾" in diameter and is double marked with the Limoges, France, underglaze white ware mark used after 1891, as well as the George Borgfeldt (Coronet) overglaze decorating mark in green, circa 1906-1920. Handsome Limoges game charger with quail. This lovely charger is hand painted with a large quail in a natural woodland setting. In the foreground are pink and white daisies and green grass. Towering trees appear in the background, silhouetted against a pale blue and sunrise pink sky. The scalloped rim of the charger is decorated with rich gold gilding that is in excellent condition. French factory artist, Bos, has signed the charger. The piece measures 10 ¾" in diameter and the foot of the plate is pierced for hanging. The charger is double marked with the Limoges, France, underglaze white ware mark used after 1891, along with the Latrille Freres overglaze decorating mark in green, circa 1908-1913. This hand some game charger is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or restoration. |

Handsome Limoges game charger. This antique game charger is hand painted with a brightly colored bird on a ground of ivory, taupe, and soft sienna. The ornate and sculpted rim of the charger is decorated with gold gilding that is in good condition, with wear noted to the highpoints. Also noted is minor wear to the painted edge of the charger in the lower left quadrant. A manufacturing flaw, ¼" long, may be seen along the bottom rim of the charger. Please refer to the photo. The charger measures 10 ¼" in diameter and is marked with the Blakeman and Henderson overglaze exporting mark in green, circa early 1900's. The charger is pierced for hanging. With no chips, cracks, or restoration, this game charger is in very good antique condition. |
