Handsome and impressive Limoges Cavalier plaque by listed French artist, L. Coudert. This hand painted portrait plaque portrays a handsome, pensive Cavalier, expertly hand painted in striking shades of burgundy, deep sienna, golden bronze, and gray. The Cavalier's white collar is done in raised white enamel, giving it a three-dimensional appearance. The scalloped rim of the plaque is trimmed with heavy gold gilding that is in mint condition. The plaque is pierced on the back for hanging and measures 10 ¾" in diameter. The piece is double marked with the P. M. Mavaleix underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1908-1914, and the George Borgfeldt (Coronet) overglaze decorating mark in green, circa 1906-1920. This vintage portrait plaque has no chips, cracks, or repairs. Mint condition. |

Lovely Limoges portrait plate. This hand painted plate features a Victorian couple, in period attire, in a natural outdoor setting. The hand painting is of very high quality. The scalloped rim of the plate is decorated with gold gilding that shows minor wear. The plate measures 9 ½" in diameter and is marked with a Limoges, France, factory mark that we have been unable to identify. That mark, in red, reads "P D Limoges". With no chips, cracks, or restoration, this outstanding portrait plate is in excellent condition. |

Gorgeous Limoges charger with morning glories. This charger is expertly hand painted with soft pink and white morning glories and foliage on a ground of varying greens, ivory, and pink blush. The ornate and sculpted rim is decorated with vibrant gold gilding that is in very good condition with slight wear noted to the high points of the rim. Also noted is a ¼" scratch in the green paint near the rim. Please see the photo. Listed French-factory artist, J. Marsay, has signed the charger near one of the flowers. The charger measures 12" in diameter and is 1 ¾" deep. It is triple marked with the Limoges, France, underglaze white ware mark in green, used after 1891, the Blakeman and Henderson overglaze exporting mark in gray, circa early 1900's, and the Buehrle Bros (Youngstown, O.) importing mark in red. With no chips, cracks, or restoration, this beautiful charger is in excellent condition. |

Pretty Limoges tray with roses. This tray is hand painted with twining roses in shades of red, pink, and yellow. Background colors are pale blue, lavender, taupe, butter yellow, and white. The outer edge of the tray is sky-blue. Raised white enamel scrolling frames the palette of dainty roses. The outer rim of the tray is decorated with gold gilding that is in good condition, with a small amount of wear along the rim. It does not detract from the piece. The tray measures 11 ½" long and 8 ½" wide. It is marked with the Plainemaison underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1890's-1910. With no chips, cracks, or restoration, this antique tray is in excellent condition. |

Large Limoges charger plate with poppies. This large handled plate or charger measures 13" from handle to handle and 12 ½" in the opposite direction. It is expertly hand painted with vibrant orange poppies and greenery on a ground of ivory, mint green, and amber. The raised handles are decorated with gold gilding that is in very good condition, with wear noted to the highpoints and edges of the handles. The charger is marked with the La Porcelaine Limousine underglaze white ware mark in green, circa 1905-late 1930's. There are a few minor surface scratches to the painted surface, but they do not detract. Please see photos. With no chips, cracks, or restoration, this lovely charger is in excellent condition. |
